Both models offer impressive power with a V8 engine, but the 2020 Nissan Armada wins the title of more powerful. The 5.6L engine comes in with 339 horsepower over the 325 horsepower of the Chevy’s 5.3L engine. Feel safe driving either the Nissan or the Chevy with backup cameras on both models. However, only the 2020 Nissan Armada includes adaptive cruise control on the base trim and an anti-theft system as well. It is also the only model to make keyless start standard across all trims
Both the Armada and Tahoe are loaded with features to enhance your driving. A luggage rack is an option from the base trim on the two SUVs while the 2020 Nissan Armada includes an optional power liftgate for those times when your hands are full. You can also add a universal garage door opener on the Armada, but you don’t have that option with the Tahoe base trim. Keyless entry and power locks are standard on both SUVs as well as heated mirrors. However, only the Nissan includes power folding mirrors on the base trim. Tow hooks are standard for the Armada’s base trim but only an option with the Tahoe.
You’ll find ample space on the Nissan and Chevy with three rows to bring along more friends. However, the 2020 Nissan Armada makes it just a little easier to fit adults into the second and third rows with two more inches of legroom in the second row and over 3.5 inches of extra legroom for the third row. You can bring along more stuff in the Armada as well with a little more cargo space inside.
The two models are quite competitive when it comes to technology. Both feature satellite radio as standard even on the base trim for more entertainment options. They also include a CD player as standard. The 2020 Nissan Armada takes it to the next level with a premium sound system as standard across all trims. Modern tech keeps you comfortable with dual zone climate control on both models with rear air conditioning for the passengers. Bluetooth is standard for both SUVs while the Nissan also includes a navigation as standard on the base trim. Heated front seats are standard with Nissan while they aren’t an option with Chevy.
